Tonsillitis...or...Mono???

For the past few day my nose has been blocked solid, then my throat started to hurt, my tonsils are swollen and have white puss on them and the back of my throat, the glands in my neck or jaw are swollen also, i am not overly tired, i do sleep a bit, but that might just be because i am sick, i did have tonsillitis a few weeks back but it went away with the amoxillin i was prescribed. So i am not really sure what this is and my doc is out of town until monday so any sujestions would help.Sounds like your tonsillitis might be back. Though it sounds like Mono, I see that you recently took amoxicillan. In 95% of cases when a person has mono and takes amoxicillan, they break out in a rash. When I had mono it was misdiagnosed as strep throat (which is a common mistake). So they gave me ammoxicillan and I broke out in a horrible rash everywhere and thats what the doctor told me happens when you take a penicillan when you have mono. Goodluck.sounds like strep throat. you should see whoever is on call for your DrDear: you should began with an effective treatment because there is a serious signs like the swollen of the lymph node in the neck this mean there is a bacterial infection ,the treatment should began quick as possible and it: start with Claforan (ceftaxim) 1g every 12 hour with garamycin 80 mg per 2 ml(gentamicin) 1 injection per day .the followed with amoxicillin course after 6 claforan injections.with all my hope to recover.
