My step son woke up this morning with a blood in his ear just one ear?

Maybe there's a cut in his ear. Clean it out, and check for injuries. If not, it might have come from inside his ear, and you should check with a doctor.Get him to a doctor. It sounds like his ear drum may have burst. Has he had a cold or ear infection? This can affect hearing, so he needs to be checked as soon as possible.
